welcome you to the 2016 Ottumwa Area Chamber of Commerce Website. This site is a positive tool that
provides opportunities for the Chamber and its' members to gain maximum
exposure, build networking groups, increase both business and community
awareness. Visitors are able to learn about Ottumwa, its' vast
opportunities, activities and vitality; plus showcase how we are growing as a
community with great businesses, organizations and a wonderful quality of life
with the amazing people that call Ottumwa home.
The Chamber is dedicated to provide services and support to our
area business community and to enhance our community as a whole. We do this through many different
programs and activities. Our organization consists of over 330 members and
is guided by the board of directors and officers. Since we are a 501(c)(6)
corporation, we are here to serve the Ottumwa area businesses,
churches and civic organizations.
We offer a wide variety services for your business, you and your
family. Our board is made up of members that come from varied business backgrounds. We meet monthly to address business
and community issues, develop policies and programs that may well enhance
business, community and personal opportunities. Some of those include our
annual Home and Garden and Recreation Expo, Holiday Night 'N Lights, Retail
Committee, Chamber Ambassadors and the Image & Beautification
Committee. Networking opportunities include our annual Golf Outing, the
monthly "Coffee Talk" events held at varied members business locations,
publishing of both the annual Chamber Directory (a great marketing tool), and a
bi-weekly e-newsletter and the monthly Chamber Link. Other networking opportunities
include the annual Partners Banquet, Chamber Mixers and Lunch and Learns; these
events help put our members in touch with prospective clients and customers. We
offer a variety of concierge type services, please feel free to contact us with
any questions or to request assistance.
We work very closely with both Ottumwa and Wapello County's
elected officials. We are always willing to assist, provide resources and
even personnel for a variety of community building programs that promote our
business community and quality of life for our community.
Good things are happening in Ottumwa, the Chamber is excited about
this new era of business growth and development. As a member you have made a
